Welcome Specially Appointed Professor D.S. Prasada RAO, FASSA！

The Hitotsubashi Institute for Advanced Studies (HIAS) is honored to welcome Specially Appointed Professor D.S. Prasada RAO, FASSA (Affiliation: Emeritus Professor, School of Economics, University of Queensland), beginning October 14. Professor RAO has been appointd a HIAS Visiting Researcher since October 2024 as part of the HIAS Bridges Distinguished Program.
Furthermore, he is scheduled to serve as a Specially Appointed Professor from Tuesday, October 14 to Thursday, November 13, 2025, during which he will engage in joint research with our university.
On Thursday, October 30, the 20th HIAS Brown Bag Seminar titled “Asia and the World Economy: Real Incomes, Price Levels, Growth, Inequality, and Productivity over the Last Fifty Years” will be presented by him in a hybrid format.
